It is a privilege to serve the cities and towns in the Alpena Power Company service territory. We are committed to servicing you beyond the traditional boundaries of our business.

Alpena Power Company has been a leader in the economic development of Northeast Michigan for over 125 years. Our foremost commitment has been to provide safe and reliable power to our neighbors. Because we have a strong stake in the economic well being and vitality of our service area, we also commit to a strong civic, charitable and leadership role in the communities we serve.

Representing the Company, APC employees share their talents with service organizations and boards and many employees share their talents individually as volunteers in our communities.

Our Community Benefit Program was established to meet this second commitment. APC has launched community initiatives and historically supported a variety of effective educational, health care, civic and charitable activities.

Alpena Power Company supports nonprofit, 501(c) 3, tax-exempt organizations that strive to maintain and improve the quality of life in our communities.

Youth/Community/Seniors $5,000 annually to over 60 organizations
